For the 24 May 2014 Service Learning opportunity, BMC accepted Colorado Mennonite Disaster Service’s invitation to plant 290 seedling trees to help with recovery efforts resulting from the 2012 High Park fire. Helpers from BMC and from Denver’s First Mennonite Church joined to spend the day with Jerry and Carol Sullivan who lost most of their trees to wildfire.
